We have a number of training sessions coming up which may be of interest and useful to Good Neighbour volunteers.

Tues 22nd March – Bereavement Training – 2pm (via zoom)

Bereavement effects everyone at some point and this session is designed to give you a clearer understanding of how to support people that are grieving, and appropriate language to use when opening a conversation about a bereavement.

Weds 6th April – Volunteer Management – 7pm (via zoom)

Managing volunteers is difficult, so this session will cover a few key points to help you get the most out of your volunteers, so that they are volunteering safely and effectively, whilst continually promoting the aims of your group.

Weds 20th April – Volunteer Induction – 7pm (via zoom)

Open to all volunteers – this session is designed to give an overview of what a Good Neighbour can and can’t do, as well as ensuring volunteers are aware of the risks they may come across and understand how to mitigate them in a simple and practical way.
