Huge congratulations to Helen Brook from Mattishall, for receiving her British Empire Medal in the Queens Birthday Honours List.
Helen was the force behind the creation of Mattishall Volunteer Hub during the pandemic, and the group proved to be a vital link in the community, supporting those people that needed an extra helping hand.
As part of the Norfolk Good Neighbour Network the group were supported to recruit volunteers, manage them safely and effectively and keep up to date with the changing situation. Amazingly the group dealt with over 1000 requests for help, and also provided support to the local school.
Well done Helen, we are all very proud of you!
