Social media is a very useful communications and marketing tool for community groups – for raising awareness of services across the community, maintaining contact between members, and for reminding the community of the need for volunteers where appropriate. Facebook is the best known medium for informal messaging across the community and within groups, but there are other media too of course.
This training session is very much an introduction, covering the basics of how social media works and what might work best for your group. No pre-knowledge needed!
